Webster Central honors teachers Greg Pittman and Megan Piefko with Oaktree awards

Both recipients spoke briefly and thanked the board, colleagues and families. Board members and guests described classroom visits and cited the recipients' positive impact on students and colleagues.
The coordinators said the Oaktree process drew roughly 58—60 nominations this year (committee tallies discussed during the presentation varied in the transcript between 58 and 80), noting nominations came from across every district school. The coordinators and board organized a brief photo opportunity and thanked the selection committee for its work.
This was presented as a celebratory portion of the meeting; no formal board action was required.
