"The facilities department is recommending the award to Fentress Studio in the amount of $19,237,130 for the full design and engineering services for the Weld County Justice Center," O'Neil said.
O'Neil said the evaluation included interviews and a best‑value determination. Commissioner Ross moved to approve the resolution and Commissioner Buck seconded the motion; the board voted and the motion carried.
During discussion, commissioners praised the firms involved and thanked county staff for the RFP process. The board did not specify a construction schedule in the presentation; no amendments to the award amount were requested at the meeting.
The board's approval authorizes the chair to sign the agreement and move forward with negotiated design services. The commission did not record individual roll‑call vote tallies in the meeting transcript; the chair declared the motion carried.
