The Village of Ashwaubenon Public Works and Protection Committee met May 5 and took routine licensing actions, approving recommendations on alcohol licenses and noting a new wave of massage-establishment license applications expected in June.
Wendy, a village staff member, told the committee the list of renewal applications for the 2026–27 retail alcohol licensing period was not included in the meeting packet and that nine applications remained outstanding. She said approvals for renewals would be contingent on clearances from public safety and finance and on resolution of any outstanding liquor bills. The committee moved and carried a recommendation to approve the renewals as provided, with that contingency in place.
On a separate item, the committee approved a temporary outdoor-alcohol-license premise extension for PMI Entertainment Group to serve alcohol on the Resch Plaza and onto Armed Forces Drive between Oneida Street and the NV Tech lot for a June 20 special event called the "920 Fiesta." "The special event application has been approved by all departments, and the police chief has recommended approval," Wendy said. A committee member later noted the event will include a mechanical bull.
The committee also recommended approval of a regular Class C (wine) license for Gable Holdings LLC doing business as Huhat Mongolian Grill. Wendy said Huhat changed ownership and was issued a provisional license on April 20 and is operating legally while its regular license is processed. Members clarified that the correct license class is Class C (wine).
Looking ahead, a committee member told the panel the village expects to receive eight or nine massage-establishment license applications after the village board adopted a revised ordinance fee; the committee will consider those applications in June, and the ordinance gives the committee final authority to approve or deny the licenses, with denials subject to appeal to the village board.
The meeting began with routine approvals of the agenda and minutes and adjourned after the listed items were handled.
