Uptown Taxi applicant says he completed inspections and paperwork; board to forward materials to inspector

Norman Freeman of Uptown Taxi told the board on May 7 that he had completed the required background checks, DOT physical, driver-permit applications, vehicle-for-hire certification and community-petition signatures for an Uptown Taxi service.
"I have completed pretty much everything that he gave me the list to do," Freeman said after taking an oath. He added that he had been trying to reach Inspector Mosier, who was out of the office.
A sergeant standing in for the inspector said he could prepare and place the paperwork on the inspector's desk so it would be ready when Mosier returned. The board discussed the next administrative steps: the inspector will review the materials, and if everything is in order the board will schedule the required public hearing and publish notice in the newspaper.
The clerk said the paperwork email exists but may need to be redistributed through official channels rather than directly from one member to all board members. Freeman was told to submit the completed packet to the inspector or staff handling Mosier's desk.
