A resident requested the Carroll County Board address concerns about Walker’s Addition in Savanna Township during the April 16 public‑comment period.
Joseph Granata of Walker’s Addition, Savanna, IL, told the board he was concerned about issues affecting Walker’s Addition. Chair Julie Bickelhaupt thanked Granata for his time and said the board would discuss the problem with the zoning officer.
Under the consent agenda, Chair Bickelhaupt pulled the April 2 meeting minutes for a correction involving County Administrator Jachnicki’s entry; the minutes were corrected to state that County Administrator Jachnicki advised of a preliminary meeting with Reagan Mass Transit District related to the county’s transit program. Susan Jacobs moved to approve the corrected April 2 minutes; David Soldat seconded and a roll call vote recorded seven ayes and the motion carried.
The board also approved 'Bills Paid in Vacation' and the Committee on Claims (motion by Susan Jacobs; second by William Iske), again passing on unanimous roll call votes. Treasurer Lydia Hutchcraft presented a Notice of Checking Account Changes letter related to a transportation grant; because that item required board action but was not listed under Business, no action was taken and it will be included on the May 7 agenda.
The meeting adjourned at 10:19 a.m. Minutes were submitted by County Clerk and Recorder Amy R. Buss.
