Hardin County Fiscal Court unanimously approved two resolutions on Jan. 13, 2026, to assign the county's solid-waste franchise and a related Intergovernmental Support Agreement (IGSA) to Unified Disposal Partners Holdings LLC.
Resolution No. 2026-008, approving assignment of the county's solid-waste franchise agreement, was moved by Squire Kenny Muse and seconded by Squire Larry Hicks; the court recorded a unanimous roll-call vote in favor. Resolution No. 2026-009, approving assignment of the Intergovernmental Support Agreement to Unified Disposal Partners Holdings LLC, was moved by Squire Fred Clem Jr. and seconded by Squire Chris Yates and likewise passed by unanimous roll-call.
The resolutions were presented together on the agenda; the court did not add conditions or amendments during the meeting. The motions preceded other business, including debate on an unrelated personnel resolution and the consent agenda.
