Clark County commissioners approve contracts for imagery, pavement markings and sheriff IT; adopt 2026 benefits policy

The Clark County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 29 approved a series of contracts, set a public hearing for Community Development Block Grant planning and adopted health-insurance contribution rules for county officers beginning in 2026.
Shayne Gray of the Auditor’s Office said the Board authorized a six-year contract with Woolpert Inc. to provide higher-resolution aerial imagery, moving from one-inch to three-inch resolution to support the auditor’s next re-evaluation cycle. "This will provide high resolution imagery for the Auditor’s office," Gray said. The contract is for $824,177.10 and is funded from the REA Fund; the motion passed on a unanimous roll call.
The Board approved an amendment to the Courthouse Renovation contract with Bowser Morner that raises the contract total to $33,812.70 and extends the term for additional soil and materials testing. County Administrator Jennifer Hutchinson said staff is still awaiting estimates for the courthouse dome.
