Clark County commissioners approve bridge contract, HVAC and Next Gen 911 among multiple resolutions

The Board of Clark County Commissioners approved a series of resolutions and contracts during its April 29 meeting, voting unanimously on procurement, grant acceptances and equipment purchases.
Key approvals included: a contract with Advanced Mechanical Services, Inc., for HVAC maintenance not to exceed $40,000 (Resolution 2026-0327); a $1,434,336 contract with Ohio Bridge Corporation dba U.S. Bridge to furnish and install bridge superstructures (Resolution 2026-0328); authorization to participate in ODOT’s 2026 road salt contract (Resolution 2026-0329); AT&T contracts for phone service at the 911 center and Next Gen 911 (Resolutions 2026-0332 and 2026-0333); MOUs with Logan County and Miami County sheriff’s offices to house inmates at a per-diem rate of $65 (Resolutions 2026-0335 and 2026-0336); and a Retail Development Project Fund grant of $9,750 to The MacRay Company LLC to assist retail building renovation (Resolution 2026-0337).
The board also approved several equipment purchases for the County Engineer (including a RoadMaster CP-500 and KnuckleHead for $50,695; a SAS 200 Soil and Asphalt Spreader for $13,476.68; and a Striker Plate Compactor for $16,325) and accepted grants from the Ohio Emergency Management Agency and the Ohio Department of Public Safety to support EMA personnel and partial salary for a task-force officer.
Most motions were made by Commissioner Charles A. Patterson and seconded by Commissioner Richard L. Lohnes; roll-call votes on the listed agenda items recorded yes votes from Commissioners Lohnes, Patterson and Rittenhouse. Several items reference specific funding sources such as MV> local funds, the 911 dispatching fund and the economic development fund created under Resolution 2022-0787.
