County approves amendment to allow GLP‑1 prescriptions via direct primary care with capped employee reimbursement

The Board of Clark County Commissioners approved contract amendment #2 on Feb. 18 to allow qualifying employees access to Megan L. Miller APRN CNP Direct Primary Care for consulting, coaching and issuance of GLP‑1 prescriptions.
Assistant County Administrator Michelle Noble said employees will purchase GLP‑1 medications directly from the manufacturer; the county will reimburse up to half the cost, not to exceed $200 per month, upon timely submission of required documentation. County Administrator Jennifer Hutchinson noted the medications have decreased in price, and said resulting cost savings will benefit employees and the county.
Commissioner Patterson moved to authorize the amendment; Commissioner Lohnes seconded and the board approved the change unanimously. The County Administrator was authorized to execute the amendment and related documents.
