Commissioners approve adjustments to Lead Safe Ohio contracts to match grant funding

The Board of Clark County Commissioners approved a set of contract amendments related to the Clark County Lead Safe Ohio program on Feb. 18 to align contract caps with actual grant funding and services.
Per staff recommendations, the board authorized Amendment #1 with Lamp Construction Inc., decreasing the 'not to exceed' amount from $495,000 to $340,000. Commissioners also approved Amendment #1 for Neighborhood Housing Partnership of Greater Springfield, decreasing its cap from $132,000 to $116,950. At the same time the board authorized Amendment #1 for Reliable Home Improvements of Ohio, Inc., increasing that contract’s cap from $495,000 to $665,000 to correspond to actual payments under the same Lead Safe Ohio grant.
All three motions were made by Commissioner Charles A. Patterson, seconded by Commissioner Richard L. Lohnes and approved unanimously. County staff cited the changes as bookkeeping and grant-alignment adjustments to reflect actual disbursements and available grant funds under Clark County’s ODoD grant (LED-2023-203561).
