Clark County Commissioners approve routine contracts, updates personnel policy and set May meeting location

Clark County Commissioners approved a slate of routine items on April 8, 2026, including service contracts, personnel policy updates and administrative reports.
The board authorized a landscaping contract with Nature’s Own LLC for $40,042 to cover downtown buildings, Springview and the Job and Family Services campus (Resolution 2026-0269). Commissioners also approved multiple administrative-liaison contracts with the Ohio Public Works Commission to support District 4 and District 11 Natural Resource Assistance Councils and an integrating committee (Resolutions 2026-0271 through 2026-0273).
By Resolution 2026-0282 the commission adopted updates to Section 7-R of the Personnel Policy Manual addressing cell-phone and bring-your-own-device (BYOD) rules, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
Other routine actions included approving then-and-now warrant issuances for prior invoices, acknowledging the Sheriff’s jail expenditure report and the Treasurer’s March 31 investment report, approving travel and expense allowances for staff and directors, and changing the May 6 commission meeting location to Clark State Performing Arts Center at 300 South Fountain Avenue, Springfield (Resolution 2026-0281). Many items were approved by unanimous roll calls.
These routine administrative and contractual items advance ordinary county operations and set a public bid date and a new meeting venue for May.
