Carroll County Transit awarded $756,800 in SFY2027 ODOT grants; local share rises

At the March 23, 2026 Carroll County commissioners meeting, Transit Director Sonja Trbovich reported that the Ohio Department of Transportation awarded SFY2027 grants to the county transit system.
Trbovich said the operating assistance federal share is $378,400, an increase of $54,944 from 2026; the state share is $166,042 (a decrease of $5,135); and the local share is $212,358 (an increase of $60,079). She stated the total operating project cost is $756,800. For capitalized maintenance, the federal share awarded was $73,000 (an increase of $3,518) and the local share was $18,250 (an increase of $880), for a total of $91,250.
No formal board action was recorded on the grant award during the meeting; Trbovich’s presentation was informational.
