After an executive session March 18 to consider personnel matters, the Belmont County Board of Commissioners approved three personnel actions.
The board approved hiring Mycah Yoho as a full-time Assistant Dog Warden at the Belmont County Animal Shelter, effective March 19, 2026, and approved hiring Hunter Flemming as a full-time Assistant Dog Warden effective March 27, 2026. Commissioners also accepted the retirement of Craig Harris, full-time Water Plant Manager at the Belmont County Water & Sewer District, effective May 1, 2026. All motions were moved by Commissioner Jerry Echemann, seconded by Commissioner Vince Gianangeli, and passed unanimously on roll call.
The executive-session motion preceding these actions cited ORC 121.22(G)(1) as the authority for a closed session to consider compensation and employment of public employees; the minutes record that HR Generalist Erin McVay was present for the executive session.
