Carroll County adopts resolution to nominate property for Ohio demolition and revitalization grant

The Carroll County Board of Commissioners on March 30 adopted Resolution No. 2026-18 to add eligible properties to the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) FY26 Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program application.
The resolution identifies 11 E. Main St., Carrollton, OH 44615 as submitted and eligible to be added to the FY26 application and states additional properties may be added later if funds allow. The Board affirmed it is the lead entity of record for the application, referenced a January 25, 2024 agreement with the Ohio Regional Development Corporation to administer the program, and authorized Commissioner Christopher R. Modranski to execute any documents necessary for obtaining the assistance. The Board further committed to accept the funding if awarded. The Board also found that all formal actions were taken in an open meeting in compliance with Ohio Revised Code 121.22.
The motion to adopt was moved by Commissioner Donald E. Leggett II and seconded by Vice President Robert E. Wirkner. The roll call vote was recorded: Leggett yes; Wirkner yes; Modranski absent. The resolution was adopted March 30, 2026.
