Board leaves preschool decision to administration; charter contract to be shared with operators next month

A trustee raised concerns from parents about the timeline and communications; staff said they had told families to wait for a decision at the meeting and that administration will post enrollment instructions and coordinate with the Early Learning Coalition if needed. "At this time, it's only ESE," a staff member said when asked about pre-K offerings.
Separately, staff said they have drafted a contract for a new charter school and expect to share it with the charter operator for review and to bring it to the board at the next meeting. The contract will address a small set of negotiable items such as retirement-coverage options.
Board members also shared calendar reminders and community-event notices (a district talent show and 4-H banquet) and adjourned without further votes.
