Lake County commissioners approve series of routine resolutions, accept DOJ grant and vote to enter executive session

- A resolution certifying unpaid water and sewer sums and administrative charges to the Lake County Auditor.
- Authorization to execute an agreement with Forbes House for FY2025 Home Investment Partnership Program funds.
- Acceptance of a $250,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice on behalf of the Lake County Scribe Laboratory, effective Oct. 1, 2025, through Sept. 30, 2027.
- Resolutions fixing the date for designating public depositories for active monies, approving payment of bills totaling $3,664,434.01, approving purchase orders totaling $1,872,066.20, and approving various appropriation adjustments and transfers across county funds.
Each resolution was moved, seconded and approved by roll call; the clerk’s roll calls recorded Commissioners Plecnik, McIntosh and Beveridge voting in the affirmative on the listed items.
Near the meeting’s close the board moved, seconded and voted by roll call to adjourn into executive session for matters including pending or imminent litigation, personnel, employment and the possible investment or expenditure of public funds in connection with an economic development project under RC 121.22(G)(8).
No substantive debate was recorded on the majority of the routine financial and administrative items; departmental reports and announcements followed the votes.
