Board approves bargaining recognition, bus surplus and evaluation handbook in votes-at-a-glance

Evaluation handbook: Administrators presented proposed changes to the certified-employee evaluation process, including a move to 16 brief, unannounced walkthrough observations annually for all certified staff and a modified schedule for full formal observations for tenured and non-tenured staff (summative observations to occur on a multi-year cadence for tenured staff and annually for non-tenured until tenure). The board approved submitting the handbook changes to the state for approval as required.
