Commissioners also approved Pay Request No. 3 for Martin Construction on the 99th Avenue Southwest project for $156,520.88 after staff confirmed outstanding site items would be addressed and that retainage remained.
The commission opened multiple bids for Spring Creek and the 11th Street project. Staff verified low bids and recommended awarding the Spring Creek box culvert contract (CP132607) to Trotter Construction for $593,635.80 and the 11th Street project (CP132203.1) to Trotter Construction for $912,897.96. The board voted to award both bids following staff verification and the usual roll-call procedure.
Chair noted staff will review bids and project quantities as projects progress, and retainage will be held until final quantities are agreed. Jeremy, the engineer verifying bids, said Trotter has established local experience and was qualified to perform the work.
Next steps: staff will finalize contract documents and begin preconstruction coordination with the awarded contractors.
