Fox River Grove board swears in three officers, approves consent agenda and amends grant payout schedule

At its Aug. 1 meeting the Fox River Grove Village Board swore in three police officers, approved the consent agenda (including waivers and routine reports), and amended the Business Capital Assistance Program grant payout schedule for Bruneaus Restaurant Concepts to split payments at three and six months after opening.
The Village of Fox River Grove Board of Trustees convened Aug. 1 at 6:30 p.m. and completed routine business including the swearing-in of three police officers and approval of the consent agenda.
Police Chief Waitrovich administered the oath to Officer Jose Salazar, Sergeant Christian Lazzerini and Sergeant Eric Barham.
Trustee Devin Hester moved to approve the consent agenda items A, B, C, E and F; Trustee Andrew Migdal seconded the motion. Roll-call votes recorded Trustees Jennifer Curtiss, Devin Hester, Steve Knar, Andrew Migdal and Kirsten Wall voting "yes," and the motion passed. Trustee Hester then moved to approve consent item D (Business Capital Assistance Program Grant, Bruneaus Restaurant Concepts, LLC) with an amendment specifying that half the grant be paid three months after opening and the balance six months after opening; Trustee Steve Knar seconded. Roll-call votes again were unanimous among present trustees and the motion passed.
Other consent items included approval of meeting minutes, accounts payable, and the treasurer’s report for June 2023, as well as waivers of temporary liquor-license fees for Lions Club events and raffle-fee waivers for the Fox River Grove PTO.
Trustee Steve Knar moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m.; Trustee Devin Hester seconded. The board voted by voice and the motion passed.
