Fox River Grove board to consider ordinance adopting updated building codes

Administrator Soderholm said the Village’s building codes were reviewed and updated with assistance from Rich Piccolo of B&F Technical Codes to align with current best practices. Piccolo was present to explain modifications and answer trustees’ questions.
The board discussed the proposed changes and reached a consensus that staff should draft a formal ordinance adopting the updated codes for consideration and a possible vote at the next Village Board meeting. No ordinance was adopted at the Aug. 1 meeting; the item will return with formal ordinance language for board action.
