Planning Commission approves Harvest Church pavilion on 11-acre site

The Livingston Parish Planning Commission voted May 7 to approve a final site plan for Harvest Church’s proposed open-air pavilion.
Clint Kennerly of KEC, representing Harvest Church, told the commission, “The church is looking to build about a 5,500 square foot open air pavilion on their approximately 11 acre site.” He said no other improvements are proposed and that the project qualifies for a drainage-impact exception because impervious area will be under 20 percent.
Parish engineering recommended approval, stating, “All of our comments have been addressed and we would recommend approval,” and confirmed the project met the drainage-exception criteria. Commissioners asked follow-up questions about pavilion dimensions and utilities; the applicant confirmed the structure will be run with electricity only and that restrooms are available in adjacent facilities.
A motion to approve the Harvest Church final site plan was made and seconded (mover as recorded by the clerk: Mister Wax; second: Mister Burns) and the commission voted to approve. The commission then moved to the related final-site agenda item and again voted to formalize final approval.
