Marshall County Fiscal Court adopts budget amendment, makes multiple fire-district appointments and enters executive session

In a series of routine governance actions the court appointed Matt Carter to the Fairdealing Olive Fire District Board to fill a vacancy through June 30, 2027; appointed Todd Lee to the West Marshall Fire District Board to fill a vacancy through June 30, 2028; appointed Steve Boling to the Palma-Briensburg Fire District Board through June 30, 2027; and appointed Michael Crawford to the East Marshall Fire District Board through June 30, 2026. The court also reappointed Nathan Holly (West Marshall Fire District), Jason Story (Palma-Briensburg Fire District) and Tom Munsterman (Possum Trot Sharpe Fire District) for terms expiring June 30, 2029. All appointment motions were moved and seconded by Commissioners Eddie McGuire and Monti Collins and approved unanimously.
The court approved an appropriation transfer, a bank transfer and payment of county bills; it also voted to reschedule the May 15 special called meeting to Tuesday, May 26 at 8:00 a.m. The court recessed for a public hearing and later returned to open session.
The court then voted to enter executive session to discuss litigation and personnel under KRS 61.810 (1)(c) and (1)(f); the transcript records the motion to enter executive session and a subsequent return to open session but does not provide details of the closed discussion.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous motion to adjourn. No additional public action related to the executive session was recorded in the transcript.
