Washington County adopts short-term remote work policy recommended by ICRMP

Robert Peterson, Information Technology Director, told the Board Jan. 5 the county has the capability to allow remote work using county-supplied equipment. Clerk Donna White said she and a small committee drafted a Short-Term Remote Work Policy and forwarded the draft to ICRMP for review; the policy before the board was the ICRMP-recommended version. The Board voted to implement the policy as presented.
Peterson also told the board he had given his doctor's release to payroll and requested an executive session at a future meeting to discuss security updates related to remote access and systems.
Next steps: policy is implemented; IT will schedule a confidential review with the board on security considerations as requested.
