The Denton County MHMR Center Board of Trustees received an information-only update on April 17, 2026, about the center’s contract with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission for substance-use services, including detox and inpatient care. The update was presented at the center’s Administrative Building in Denton by Executive Director Pam Gutierrez.
Dianne Hickey, Board of Trustees Chair, praised Executive Director Pam Gutierrez for how she handled the Substance Use Services (SUD) contract and thanked trustees for their continued commitment. The minutes say the board has held recent meetings with Denton County commissioners and state senators, where the center’s current financial status was presented and discussed; the minutes do not provide figures or contractual dollar amounts.
