Rice County approves several liquor-license renewals and the consent agenda

Rice County commissioners approved several liquor‑license renewals and cleared the consent agenda at the April 28 meeting.
Elections/property staff presented renewal packets noting local township, sheriff and county attorney signoffs. For Windham's Shady Acres (177th Street, Faribault) staff said the wine and on‑sale malt liquor renewals were recommended by Wells Township, the sheriff and the county attorney. "License period July 1 through June 30," staff said before the board approved the renewals on voice votes.
The board likewise approved the Vintage Scapes (Dodd Road, Kilkenny) on‑sale liquor license for 07/01/2026–06/30/2027 and two Keepsake Cidery renewals for Hundred 35th Street East, Dundas. All license renewals presented carried on voice votes. Following those items the board approved the consent agenda, which included overtime reports, payment of bills and personnel appointments.
The meeting then moved to other business and adjourned.
