Fire-code concerns delay Coloradough liquor-license renewal to May 20

The Grand Junction Liquor Licensing Authority continued the renewal for Doughp, LLC dba Coloradough (1410 North Avenue) to May 20, 2026 after Deputy City Clerk Misty Williams informed the board that Fire Prevention Specialist Matthew Sewell of the Grand Junction Fire Department had identified fire-code violations relevant to the license application.
Hearing Officer Jill Cenamo read the list of renewals into the record and verified with Ms. Williams that the applications were in order. Ms. Williams recommended continuing Coloradough's renewal while staff follow up on the fire-safety concerns raised by the Fire Department. No members of the public spoke against the application. Renewals 1–3 and 5–7 were approved as requested.
The authority set Coloradough's renewal for further consideration on May 20, 2026 so the Fire Department and city staff can resolve the outstanding code issues before the board acts.
