City honors Utilities Director Randy Kim as she prepares to retire

He also noted Grand Junction's recognition in water-quality competitions.
Kim responded by thanking the staff she supervised (86 water and wastewater professionals), reflecting on regional partnerships and the importance of water conservation during drought, and recounting historical milestones such as the arrival of mountain water to Grand Junction in 1912. Council members offered thanks and expressed that her leadership will have lasting benefits for the community.
