During the March 3 General Operations Committee meeting, finance staff reviewed facility maintenance items, including a breakdown of Hendersonville Library maintenance costs and a chiller replacement for the Gallatin Health Department.
Finance reported a cumulative maintenance total for the Hendersonville Library of $50,625.32 and stated Hendersonville would need to reimburse the county $25,312.66 for its half of those costs. Chairman Mansfield also noted an invoice will be sent to the City of Hendersonville to cover 50% of maintenance invoices.
On the Gallatin Health Department chiller, the committee suspended rules to hear from Hal Hendrix, who told the committee the vendor anticipates a 44-week lead time for the new chiller but will replace or maintain equipment using R22 refrigerant at no additional charge until the new unit arrives. Commissioner Chrissi Miller moved to approve the chiller action, Commissioner David Klein seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
The committee also approved disposal of surplus county property by unanimous motion. Staff noted work on multiple capital projects in the finance packet, including archive roof repairs, Westmoreland EMS final zoning completion and Oak Grove VFD construction; the Franklin Street storm-drain project received a single bid from L&G Construction and was reported to be under budget with the county preparing to award the contract.
