The board approved awarding the bid for Fine Arts Center updates at Spring Lake Park High School to the low bidder, Darren Pearson.
Amy Schultz summarized the procurement: because the project exceeds $175,000 it was formally bid; four bids were received and the low bidder was Darren Pearson. She described the project scope as converting stage lighting to LED, making safety updates to the rigging system, and adding track lighting to walkways and aisles in the Fine Arts Center.
"So, as we do with any project that's over a $175,000, we do need to bid it," Schultz said. The board moved to award the bid (motion recorded as moved by McCollum, seconded by Scully) and approved the award on a voice vote.
Next steps: staff will proceed with contract execution and scheduling for the Fine Arts Center work; board packet included the bid tabulation and low-bid recommendation.
