Mesa County approves $100,000 extension for Roxul Consulting Group testing services

Mesa County commissioners on Jan. 6 approved a contract extension with Roxul Consulting Group to provide on-call quality-assurance testing services for the county's capital improvement and selected maintenance projects, authorizing up to $100,000 and permitting the chair to sign the agreement.
Laura Page, Mesa County engineering services director, told the board the contract is a renewal of an existing on-call agreement first awarded in 2023 and renewed in 2024. "This is our second renewal," Page said, adding that Roxul "provide the material testing that we require on our capital improvement projects." She said the firm also performs testing for maintenance and development work as needed.
There was no public comment on the item. A motion to approve the extension carried unanimously, 3-0. The board’s approval authorizes county staff to proceed under the renewed on-call contract up to the approved amount; other fiscal-risk and compliance review processes remain in place.
The item was presented during the commissioners' items needing individual consideration and was entered into the record for approval.
