Butler County staff told commissioners on March 24 they plan to submit a Water Supply Revolving Loan nomination to the Ohio EPA for repair and rehabilitation of a 42-inch concrete transmission water main and asked the board for authority to proceed if the nomination is awarded.
Finance Director Dave McCormick summarized agenda item 23593, noting several transfers and appropriations: a requested $50,000 transfer into unemployment expense for the Board of Developmental Disabilities, $25,000 for a probate-court audiovisual upgrade and a $300,000 appropriation for the county’s portion of the University Point TIF Pepper Pike signalization agreement previously authorized under an earlier resolution. He also reported nine requisitions exceeding $25,000 that together totalled $3,778,610.86 and said each requisition is within currently approved budgets.
On the water project, staff described the nomination as intended to fund repair and rehabilitation of the county’s 42-inch concrete transmission main; the agenda item (24065) formalized authorization to submit the nomination form to the Ohio EPA Division of Environmental and Financial Assistance and to apply for and accept the loan if awarded.
A motion to accept the finance report was made, seconded and approved by roll call. The board moved later to approve consent resolutions that included authorization to submit the water-supply loan nomination (as part of the consent agenda); the board did not yet award or accept a loan at the meeting—staff will return with formal loan documents and terms if the nomination is selected by the state.
