The Municipality of Murrysville honored the Franklin Regional High School wrestling team at its May 6 meeting with a proclamation recognizing the Panthers' undefeated 22–0 season and their PIAA Class 3A state championship.
Council President read the mayoral proclamation (issued in May 2026) noting the team's athletic excellence, sportsmanship and program tradition; the proclamation congratulated student athletes, the coaching staff and families and declared May 6, 2026, "Franklin Regional Wrestling Team Day" in the municipality. The reading included a roster of student athletes and recognition of coaching honors, including the PIAA Coach of the Year and PIAA Assistant Coach of the Year.
Players, coaching staff and attendees received the proclamation and posed for photos at the meeting. Council and attendees offered congratulations and appreciation for the team's achievement.
