Mesa County Public Health unveils operational dashboard and public CHIP dashboard; staff will share links

Allie Ho, Chief Health Strategist, and Alice Ireland, data and informatics manager, gave a live tour of a new strategic evaluation and metrics tool designed to give the board an operational "snapshot" and to surface program report-outs when metrics go red.
Ho said the tool includes tabs for a welcome page, strategic priorities, metrics and report-outs, and a CHIP dashboard; she noted the CHIP dashboard is public-facing and available from the agency website. Ho and Ireland said the tool will be updated periodically and that some metrics reflect lag times depending on program reporting cycles.
Board members asked whether the tool should be public and the county attorney raised privilege concerns for specific internal metrics. Staff said the public CHIP dashboard is already public-facing but agreed to share links via the meeting packet email and to ensure privileged or confidential data are not published.
Why it matters: board members will be able to use the dashboard for more timely oversight of program status and to identify areas needing board attention, while the public CHIP dashboard will let community members see county priorities and progress.
