Water & Sewer says Kyle Station construction nearly complete; residents seek faster restoration

The Butler County interim director for Water & Sewer briefed commissioners on the Kyle Station improvement project and responded to resident concerns about delays in restoration work.
Brandy Day said Phase 1 construction is complete and Phase 2—composed of four roadways including Kyle Station—is approximately 65 percent complete. "We should be done on Kyle Station in about 3 to 4 weeks," Day told the board, and she said crews will move to restoration work when that phase finishes.
Day said some 8-inch and 10-inch pipes are being upsized to 12-inch mains, which she said would increase water flow through the area by about 40 percent. Residents at the meeting asked why yards and final grading had been left exposed for weeks; Commissioner Dixon said homeowners had been patient and urged the contractor to prioritize restoration work while the weather is favorable.
Day said she would confer with project managers and county administration to accelerate restoration where possible and that customer service staff had begun individualized outreach to affected residents. No vote or contractual action occurred during the update; board members requested follow-up on restoration scheduling.
