Mesa County board approves consent agenda, contract extension; continues land-use appeal to March 31

The Mesa County Board of Commissioners took three recorded actions on March 24: it approved the consent agenda (nine items), approved a contract amendment extending the county's agreement with Sanitary Supply Corporation for environmental-services supplies and equipment not to exceed $125,000, and continued a land-use appeal (Ridge Crossing Major Subdivision final plan) to March 31, 2026.

Consent agenda: The chair asked for a motion to approve the nine consent items; Commissioner (S5) moved and Commissioner (S4) seconded. The board voted in favor and the chair announced, "Motion carries 3 to 0."

Sanitary Supply contract amendment: Alan Simpkins, director of facilities, presented the final extension to the March 2023 contract with Sanitary Supply Corporation and recommended approval. The board moved, seconded and approved the contract extension as published; the item authorizes the chair to sign and sets an amount not to exceed $125,000.

Land-use appeal continuance: Staff (Todd) told the board the Ridge Crossing appeal had been properly noticed to the public but had not been included internally, so the board did not have sufficient time to prepare. To avoid additional delay to the appellant and eliminate republication costs, staff requested a continuance. Commissioners moved, seconded and voted to continue the item to the March 31 meeting; the chair announced the continuation carried 3 to 0.

All three actions were recorded by motion and vote; no substantive debate preceded the votes and no amendments were recorded.
