Residents urge end to county ICE contract; speakers call for transparency on detainee data

Commenters requested the county provide clearer lists or data about detainees and called for humane treatment and legal process protections.
Board members did not announce immediate policy changes during the meeting but heard the comments during the public-comment period and acknowledged receipt of the speakers’ concerns. No formal action was taken during the public-comment segment.
