Mesa County Board approves mutual release for executive director Xavier Crockett

The Mesa County Board of Public Health on March 10 approved a mutual release and settlement for Executive Director Xavier Crockett, whose resignation was recorded as effective Dec. 31, 2026.

S2 (staff member) summarized the board's review and the proposed resolution, saying the review of the executive director's travel expenses "identified some expenses where county travel policies were not fully followed" and that the board had "concluded that resolving the matter through agreement represents the most prudent and fiscally responsible course for the stewardship of public funds."
