Representative Morris explained HB 182 as a measure to allow military personnel to transfer relevant military training credits into emergency medical services certification. "It's just allowing military men and women to be able to carry their credits over from the military to EMS," Representative Morris said. Representative Hurst moved a favorable report, seconded by Representative Bracy, and the committee approved the bill by voice vote.
The committee also approved HB 275, an interstate athletic-trainer compact that Representative Morgan said mirrors an existing military-related compact. "There are currently 13 states participating in this compact," Morgan said, noting the bill aligns state practice with that multistate agreement. Representative Butler moved for a favorable report; Representative Lamb seconded, and the motion carried.
