On parole decisions, the board granted parole with supervision conditions in several cases: Jason H. McClellan (AIS#332019) was granted parole with a special condition to complete Reentry Assistance by Redemption Earned with Long Term Care; Johnny L. Duke (AIS#271356), Jerome Jones (AIS#196437), Daniel L. Peoples (AIS#293710) and Edward L. Mooney Jr. (AIS#313030) were each granted parole with conditions such as placement in an approved halfway house or the Montgomery Day Reporting Center (DRC), NA/AA participation, GPS ankle monitoring, mental health follow-up and drug assessments on release.
Numerous parole requests were denied. Examples include Wesley A. Studdard (AIS#326438) — denied with a reset date of March 2030 after victims and agency representatives spoke against parole — and several other denials with reset dates ranging from March 2027 to March 2031 or with no reset date specified in the docket summary. The meeting record shows the board’s votes were unanimous across items and that two board members were present for the actions.
