The Division Director requested the release on the grounds that Harris needs ongoing medical attention that can be provided in an approved home plan with his sibling, Brittany Wilkerson, at 301 Opp Ave., Andalusia, AL 36420. The Board Order states the purpose of the release is to allow Harris to receive the medical attention required for his condition. The Board Secretary, Nicole Lewis, recorded the action in the minutes and the Board Order.
The motion to approve the release followed the Board’s routine business (the minutes record that Hal Nash moved and Gabrelle Simmons seconded the motion approving the minutes and related actions). The Board’s approval was entered in the Office record as a formal Board Order dated April 1, 2026.
The Board meets daily to consider paroles and pardons under Alabama Code, Title 15, Chapter 22. The Board’s next scheduled meeting, per the minutes, is April 2, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. in Montgomery.
