County moves two 9-1-1 alarm-interface contracts to next week's consent agenda and approves facilities vehicle purchase

County staff presented two contracts to implement an Automatic Secure Alarm Protocol interface for the Southern Alleghenies 9-1-1 cooperative: a contract with Mission Critical Partners for $10,720 and a contract with Tyler Technologies for $20,720, both described in the meeting as fully funded by "Pima grant funds" for the 05/12/2026—6/11/2027 period. The board voted to add both items to next week's consent agenda rather than acting on them immediately.

Ramey, who introduced the items, said the interfaces will transmit alarm notifications directly to computer-aided dispatch consoles, reducing telephone reporting and saving dispatch time (staff estimated roughly two minutes a call). A commissioner moved to add the two 9-1-1 emergency communications items to next week's consent agenda; the motion carried by voice vote.

Separately, the board approved a CoStars contract purchase with Stuckey Ford and Russell's Auto Sales LLC for a 2026 Ford F-350 4x4 with a full utility box to be used by facilities management. Staff said the vehicle will help crews access remote 9-1-1 tower sites and that the chassis and box were specified to department needs; commissioners approved the contract by voice vote.

Both the 9-1-1 interface contracts and the vehicle purchase were described as part of ongoing efforts to upgrade emergency communications and facilities maintenance capabilities.
