Perry County commissioners approve payroll, insurance and claims, and several appropriations

The Perry County Board of Commissioners voted to approve routine payroll and a series of claims during its meeting, clearing payroll dated April 24, 2026, and related withholdings and benefit payments.
Chair (S2) announced the payroll amount of $177,309.85 and the payroll withholding total of $37,461.80. The board then approved vision ($287.69), dental ($357.10), life insurance ($1,404.70) and medical insurance ($35,001.83) payments by voice votes. Commissioners also approved solid waste claims for May 4, 2026, for $3,271.23 and the accounts payable docket for May 4, 2026, totaling $253,073.97.
Separately, the board authorized advertising for bids for several roads — Cattail, Bell Hollow, Scarlet, Shady Lane and StarBright — with a bid opening scheduled for May 22 at 10 a.m. The motion to advertise passed by voice vote.
The session concluded after routine items and a motion to adjourn passed by voice vote.
