Alliance Civil Service Commission sets lieutenant promotional exam for May 13; schedules special meeting to review assistant chief protest

Young asked Chief Hunt to contact his known resource to obtain more information about NTN promotional exams; Chief Hunt said he would follow up. Commissioners also discussed protest questions submitted for the Assistant Fire Chief exam; Martin said Clancy would review the protest questions and that she would schedule a special meeting for the commission to rule, tentatively set for March 24, 2026.
Matt Mohr moved to proceed with posting (for the promotional exams); Young seconded and the motion passed with all in agreement. Martin was directed to proceed with posting. The meeting record notes a brief discussion about the Inspector's exam and a short discussion of the cost of overhauling commission rules, but no dates or dollar amounts were recorded for those items.
