Council did not adopt the contract at the meeting; instead, members moved the ordinance to committee for review of scope, funding and procurement steps. Safety Service staff earlier referenced the item as related to a grant approved over two years prior and noted the city needed to complete contracting steps to access the work funded by that grant.
The referral requires Finance Committee review and staff follow-up on contract terms before council votes on final award. The referral passed by unanimous roll call.
