Several residents urged the city to honor his memory with a named cultural or community facility.
Mayor Pro Tem Pacheco noted a family celebration of life scheduled for April 11 at the Ordway and said the city will prepare an official proclamation recognizing Glover's contributions. City officials and family members described the star honoring Glover on Broadway and the impact of his mentorship and financial support on generations of Seaside residents.
The tributes occupied a substantial portion of the public‑comment period, with speakers emphasizing Glover's humility, civic leadership and hands‑on support for youth programs. The council closed public comment after the remarks and directed staff to prepare the planned recognition.
The meeting record shows the council did not take formal legislative action on memorial naming during this session; councilmembers said they would pursue appropriate next steps in coordination with the family.
