Walton County board approves consent agenda, adopts policies and academic calendars

The Walton County School Board approved its consent agenda by a unanimous vote, adopting new and revised policies and advancing district planning items. The board recorded a 7-0 vote to approve minutes from the Nov. 11 meeting and to adopt the Transfers and Withdrawals policy and the Student Admissions and Enrollment policy. The board also approved a joint resolution declaring the November-cycle results, a strategic waiver school system resolution, and draft academic calendars for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years.
Superintendent Underwood recommended approval of two CEO consent items: the finance report for November 2025 and the personnel report for December 2025. The board accepted both CEO consent items, also by a 7-0 vote.
Chair Gibson noted the board's recent recognition at the GSBA conference earlier in the meeting, and no member requested separate discussion or removal of consent items during the approvals.
The vote on the consent agenda consolidated several routine and substantive items; the board did not call any individual consent item for separate consideration during the meeting.
