The Schley County Board of Commissioners on March 11 approved a slate of routine motions including minutes, advisory-board confirmations and several local policies.
Motions recorded as approved unanimously included: the meeting agenda; the Jan. 30, Feb. 6 (workshop and called meeting), Feb. 11, and Feb. 13 meeting minutes; and the Feb. 13 vote minutes. The board also approved confirmations requested by the Schley County Division DFCS for Karen Albritton and Darryl Aldridge and reconfirmed Kathy Tondee (chairperson), William “Fred” Smith and Will Rayburn to five-year terms.
On zoning matters, the board approved a policy recommended by the Zoning Board to replace members who miss three meetings within 12 months. The board also approved accepting a proposed new cell tower on County Line Road. In public safety matters, the board adopted a No Transport Policy for Fire/EMS that establishes a $75 charge when individuals use emergency services but are not transported.
Most motions were made by county commissioners and recorded as seconded; the minutes indicate unanimous approval on the listed items. The meeting adjourned after the board approved the day's business.
