Pleasant Grove council approves a slate of routine resolutions, OKs water MOU and proclaims Arbor Day

At the same meeting the council unanimously approved an easement for a Rodeo grounds transformer, accepted a small amended interlocal for substance misuse prevention, approved easements needed for a five‑story multifamily site, declared two trucks surplus and authorized an MOU for temporary water shares; council also proclaimed April 23, 2026 as Arbor Day.
After continuing the Valley Grove items to April 28, the Pleasant Grove City Council approved multiple action items on the consent/regular agenda.
The council unanimously approved Resolution 2026‑13 granting an underground easement to Rocky Mountain Power to relocate a transformer at the Rodeo grounds to accommodate AT&T work. The council then approved Resolution 2026‑15 authorizing an amended interlocal agreement with Utah County and Communities That Care for substance misuse prevention (the amendment adds modest training funding). Both votes passed on roll call with every council member voting yes.
Council also approved Resolution 2026‑16, a companion fire‑access and waterline easement needed to support a five‑story multifamily building in Valley Grove; the easement is intended to be releasable once permanent infrastructure is in place. The council declared two city pickup trucks (a 2020 and a 2021 Ford F‑150 crew cab) as surplus under Resolution 2026‑18 and authorized disposal under city policy. On water, the council approved Resolution 2026‑19 authorizing the mayor to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Metropolitan Water District of Orem to use up to 174 shares of Provo Reservoir Water Users Company water during the 2026 irrigation season to help manage drought and storage needs.
Finally the council proclaimed April 23, 2026, as Arbor Day and scheduled a celebration and tree plantings at Anderson Park. All of these items were approved by unanimous vote.
