The chair said the committee made painful cuts to avoid overprogramming and also used $50 million from the underground storage tank fund to help balance the plan.
The committee also reported favorably on House Joint Resolution 75, which lists out‑year projects as a roadmap for the next road plan, and House Joint Resolution 76, which allocates $70 million in LAR funding intended to pave many smaller projects statewide (described as covering all the 'eights, nines and tens'). Senator Williams sought a procedural $1 motion to enable a local swap on a county road; the chair ruled it out of order.
