Commissioners asked about additional windows and skylights to improve natural light in the new family-room and stairwell areas; the applicant said those choices could be made as the permit is finalized and that interior layout constraints (kitchen cabinets, etc.) could affect window placement. The commission moved and unanimously approved the design review for the project by the commissioners present; story poles will remain during a two-week appeal period.
Next steps: staff will finalize findings and conditions and proceed with permit issuance if no appeals are filed.
